100% assurance, 0% Risk
We are committed to your safety, and peace of mind. Hence, we perform a MANDATORY skin consultation at our clinic before you start any treatment with us. This ensures we have all the vital information to accurately assess your skin’s suitability for treatment; forecast realistic results and minimise the risk of complications. We allow 30-40min for this assessment to obtain a full medical history as well as perform a patch test on the area you wish to have treated. Only after successful completion of this test is when we go ahead with the procedure.

Pre Treatment Information:
» 2 weeks before any IPL/Laser Photorejuvenation treatment it is very important that you avoid UV exposure & tanning. This includes the use of fake tanning solutions & solariums. You must notify your laser operator if you have had any exposure to avoid risk of complications.
» The area to be treated must clean. No makeup should be applied & the application of lotions, creams or serums should be avoided. We understand that there may be times that this is unavoidable so please let your laser operator know upon your appointment arrival.
» Please discuss medical issues and medications with your therapist prior to every treatment. If you have started taking any new medication or have changed medications you must advise your practitioner to avoid any complications.
» The use of any exfoliating products must be discontinued 1 week prior to treatment. This includes products with ingredients such as vitamin A, lactic acid, glycolic acid & salicylic acid.
» Do not exercise or perform any activity that generates body heat for 4 hours prior to your procedure.
» Do not have Anti-Wrinkle treatment injections or Dermal Fillers within 2 weeks (pre and post) of your treatment.
Post Treatment Information:
» Post treatment, redness, minor swelling and/or a sunburn like sensation can occur. This generally can last from as little as 2 hours to anything up to 3 days. If you experience any discomfort during this period, you may apply a cold compress or alternatively and ice pack to the area. However, if you continue to experience any discomfort, please notify us immediately.
» In most cases, some scabbing, crusting or blistering may occur. If scabbing/crusting does occur you must not pick or scratch the area. Allow the scabbing/crusting to slough off naturally. These areas will eventually fall off, revealing new healthy skin underneath. Should small blisters appear, do not pop or apply creams. If this occurs, cover with a sterile bandage and please contact us immediately.
» Be gentle on your skin and avoid the use of strongly scented lotions or soaps, exfoliating creams and aggressive scrubbing to the treated area. Try to only wash with cold or tepid water for the first day after treatment while your skin is in the recovery stage.
» Always remember to apply your SPF 30+ sunscreen EVERYDAY to protect your skin from ongoing UV damage and avoid all UV exposure and tanning during the entire duration of your Photorejuvenation treatments.
» Avoid AHA and BHA products for the first 24 – 72 hours; avoid exfoliating or peels for at least two weeks after treatment and only use skin care products prescribed by your therapist during the entire course of Photorejuvenation treatments.
» Avoid products containing (vitamin A) Retinol during the course of your treatment as this could cause an adverse reaction.
» Until the redness has resolved, avoid all of the following: Perfume, aftershave, lotion, cream, oil or bleaching cream on the treatment area for 24-48 hours. Aloe Vera gel is permitted.
» Do not Exercise for 24-72 hours after treatment.
» Do not take anti-inflammatory medication i.e. Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Voltaren and others for at least one week after treatment (skin treatments only).
» Do not apply makeup the same day as treatment unless it is a mineral makeup.
» If hands are treated wear cotton gloves while driving.
» Pigmented lesions will become darker before they become lighter and will naturally shed from the skin within 1-2 weeks.
» Vascular lesions are expected to darken before they disappear. Within a week after treatment, the skin tone will have less pronounced redness.
